Funded Enrollments

Eligible participants for funding through the Alaska Partnership for Teacher Enhancement: Teachers, para-educators or other positions (as approved by APTE) within APTE Partner School Districts (Anchorage, Kashunamiut, Lower Kuskokwim and Yupiit) are eligible for funded enrollment slots. There are a limited number of slots in the institute. You will be placed on the list by order of receipt of your faxed application. You must fax your application in by May 27, 2005 or the remaining slots will be released to public participants. Principals and Assistant Principals in these schools are also invited; however they do not receive a stipend.

Eligible participants for Beginning Mentoring, including principals and assistant principals, will have the following costs covered: *credit tuition and fees ($200 for 2 Professional Development Credits), course materials, food (breakfast & lunch), lodging (University of Alaska Anchorage Dorms), and travel between their school site and Anchorage. Participants, with the exception of Principals and Assistant Principal participants, will receive a stipend of not more than $100.

*Please note: These are Professional Development Credits and they will not apply towards an Associates or a Bachelors Degree.
