  14. The Alaska Partnership for Teacher Enhancement (APTE) Summer Institute professional development courses offered through the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) are generally graded Pass/No Pass, rather than Credit/No Credit or A-F. By UAA standards, "pass" grades for these courses represent student performance/work at a level of "B" or better (above average or better).

The Department of Education and Early Development Teacher Certification Office has confirmed that UAA professional development (500-level) courses graded Pass/No Pass fulfill the re-certification requirement of "upper division or graduate level courses."

    Anchorage School District

Through APTE's agreement with Anchorage School District (ASD) Superintendent Carol Comeau, the APTE Institute's Pass/No Pass courses may also count as "A-F graded courses" for movement on the salary schedule.
